Ed was pleased with my
new haircut and so are my friend
Fabienne and her daughter Jolieke.
After I came back from the city I worked a bit in
the garden because the weather was really nice today. Although it looked as if we were going to get a thunderstorm it stayed dry.
My friend
Fabienne called to tell that she and her daughter
Jolieke would drop in for a quick visit. Lately we hadn't seen each other much because there they had a lot of festivities lately. I was so happy to see
Jolieke! I missed that little (150cm/4.9foot) 10-year-old sweetheart.I had decided to have supper out of the house and our friends were happy to join us.
First stop was the Draekerwinning, which was closed for holidays.
Next stop,
domein Bovy. To my surprise there wasn't much going on. There are two restaurants on the square of Bovy. The one we normally go was also closed for vacation. So we went to the other one.
It took at least 10 minutes before they came to take our order.
We ordered three plain spaghetti bolognese and one portion of spare ribs. It would take about twenty minutes, said the waiter. After 20 minutes he came to tell us that they ran out of bolognese sauce. We asked to pay for the drinks and we would go some place else to eat.
After two minutes another waitress came and all of a sudden there was bolognese sauce she said. Ed asked would it take another twenty minutes? Yes, at least she said kind of bitchy and that it was crowded. More than half of the place was empty! We thanked and said we didn't want to wait that long.
On the other side of the street there was another place.
We sat down and saw on the menu's that lay on the table that they hadn't much to offer so we went to the fourth place a little further on the corner.
Finally we had find a place where we had 3 spaghettis and 1 tagliatelli with smoked salmon.
Despite all the fuss it still was a very enjoyable and pleasant evening!
