Sunday supposed to be a day of rest and so we did. In the morning we drove to Fort Verde for a short visit to this historic fort . Eef considered buying a few of those houses and immigrate to the US. We had a greasy meal at KFC and sunbathed and swom in the outdoor pool of the hotel. I'm not a fan of sunbathing and kept myself in the shade. We called it a day after we had a delicious meal at Nick's Italian Steak & Crab House a restaurant downtown.
Last vacation day
Goodbye Cottonwood , we loved you! Our last afternoon in the US were going to be spent a few hours at the Best Western pool and in a Phoenix mall, had our last meal outside on a terrace at the Keg steakhouse , we went to bed by midnight and had to leave the hotel by 5:30 am to catch our flight back home at 7 am. At 4 am we got a phone call from my mom telling Ed that our freezer died and all the meat that was in had gone bad, to ask if she had to throw it away? Yeah duh!
We had a great vacation. The flight home went well but tiring.
Welcome mister jet-lag.
We drove 2628 miles or 4205 kilometers in 2 weeks .
Those house are cute. I wouldn't mind having one either. hehehe
@Sheila, I would rather be in America for several things, especially the
south west because of the beautiful weather. I hate the high humidity in
our country.
Wow Tine, awesome pictures!! I have not read your blog in a while and had a
lot of catch up reading to do...it is all so interesting. I loooove the
Mantazuma (?) castle. I will have to get down there and visit one day!
Loved reading about the holiday, Tine and the great pictures. Seems like
you had a wonderful time all in all.
Glad you had a wonderful vacation!
